The exhibition offers a glimpse into the world of this versatile artist, swiftly mediating our understanding of his work and the creative process behind it by juxtaposing paintings, drawings, object-books with traditional pottery, glass, musical instruments and various other objects the artist collected throughout the years.

Ştefan Câlţia. Obiecte grăitoare [Storytelling Objects] offers a glimpse into the world of this versatile artist, swiftly mediating our understanding of his work and the creative process behind it by juxtaposing paintings, drawings, object-books with traditional pottery, glass, musical instruments and various other objects the artist collected throughout the years.

An izi.TRAVEL app specially designed for the exhition tells their stories through the artist’s voice reflecting the intricate link between the real and the imaginary which permeates Ştefan Câlţia’s work, the profound, joyful and playful discovery of the surrounding world he shares with us.

A complex programme of concerts, lectures, kids’ activities complement the exhibition Ştefan Câlţia. Obiecte grăitoare [Storytelling Objects] facilitating a deeper, more intimate engagement with the artist’s creative process.

Various books, albums, cards and objects painted by the artists will be available at the museum bookstore throughout the duration of the exhibition.
