The exhibition mirrors the perspective on Romanian painting developed by Portuguese businessman and collector Alain Bonte. Enjoy masterpieces created by prestigious artists such as Nicolae Grigorescu, Gheorghe Petrașcu, Theodor Pallady, Francisc Șirato, Ștefan Dimitrescu, Camil Ressu, Magdalena Rădulescu, and Alexandru Ciucurencu.

The exhibition brings together 57 paintings by well-known Romanian artists such as Nicolae Grigorescu, Gheorghe Petrașcu, Theodor Pallady, Francisc Șirato, Ștefan Dimitrescu, Camil Ressu, Magdalena Rădulescu and Alexandru Ciucurencu, all drawn from the collection of the Bonte Foundation. Alain Bonte, a Portuguese businessman and collector, took a keen interest in Romanian modern painting. A consistent, quality-based selection reveals the collector’s understanding and appreciation of the national character of Romanian art which the Foundation took to promote nationally as well as internationally.
