DESCRIPTION:The National Art Museum of Romania invites you on Sunday\, Febr
 uary 4\, at 4:00 pm to the launch event of the catalogue of the sculpture 
 exhibition 'Romulus Ladea' open from October 4\, 2023 to February 4\, 2024
 . The special guests of the event are Mrs Adriana Botez Crainic\, art hist
 orian and critic\, Mr Virgil Scripcariu\, sculptor and Mr Radu Zaciu\, mod
 erator Judit Balint\, curator of the exhibition. Free admission.\nThe even
 t marks the closing of the exhibition and the publication of the bilingual
  catalogue. The volume presents the 34 works on display\, photographs of t
 he public monuments and photographs from the exhibition. The catalogue als
 o includes\, for the first time\, a QR code allowing access to the virtual
  tour of the exhibition.\nThe exhibition dedicated to the artist Romulus L
 adea\, an event that brought to the Bucharest public\, after more than 50 
 years\, the most important sculptures of the artist in the patrimony of th
 e museum\, of seven other museums in the country\, as well as in two priva
 te collections\, is part of a broader approach of the museum to bring to t
 he forefront important Romanian sculptors.\nThe three special guests have 
 made outstanding contributions in the field of art and art history: Ms. Ad
 riana Botez-Crainic is an art historian and critic\, author of four volume
 s of History of Universal Art\, a volume of History of Modern and Contempo
 rary Romanian Art\, a treatise on Theory of Sculpture entitled The Art of 
 Form\, the bibliophile books Montparnasse Bienvenüe and Renaissance \, Brâ
 ncuși and the monographs Ion Popescu-Negreni\, Valbudea and Romulus Ladea 
 (2017).\nMr Virgil Scripcariu is a sculptor\, winner of the Sculpture Priz
 e of the Union of Artists 2023\, author of outstanding sculptures and publ
 ic monuments\, among which the most recent is the Lovinescu-Ierunca monume
 nt\, unveiled in Bucharest in December 2023\, and co-founder of the Museum
 -Atelier School of Piscu.\nMr Radu Zaciu has a degree in mathematics and i
 s a passionate amateur photographer with over 2 million views on his Flick
 r account. He was generous enough to donate to the museum the sculpture 'S
 elf-portrait' signed by Romulus Ladea\, for which we are grateful.\nGround
